This is how we roll.
Rolling seems to be a forgotten form of locomotion. Makes sense - it's slow and inefficient! Once we learned how to get around with our legs we may have forgotten about rolling . But a little practice with this primitive pattern of rolling can be amazing for your movement base as well as for yoga, running, sports and other complex movements. Rolling has some awesome benefits: ⭐️First, you (re)learn authentic spinal stabilization by using your head, neck, and eyes ? to drive your movement. this is a crucial step, after developing proper breathing patterns. . ⭐️Second, while most people have no problem tensing, bracing and gripping their way through life, most of us don't know how to let go . Rolling reveals your ability to relax certain muscles while using others. ⭐️Finally, nothing is more fun than a grown-up rolling on the floor. The underlying cause for many a poor movement issue is a dysfunctional core - The center of your body. You need core stability if you expect to move your arms and legs properly. ?To re-establish a functional core, rolling is the next critical step after making sure you're ✨breathing diaphragmatically✨ How To Roll from Bridge to Child's Pose. ➡️Inhale reach right arm, eyes and head follow movement of right hand pass left shoulder, flip left palm up, place left knee down, bring eighth knee over towards right shoulder , ending in child's pose . ➡️Inhale reach your right arm to the right shoulder , gaze towards your right hand, left arm by left side, left palm up, roll over your left arm , follow your gaze towards your right foot as it lowers to the ground, returning to supine position. Start again with left arm to right side... . .come explore and play with more sustainable and functional movements to enhance your yoga and movement practice: ❤️open classes : https://www.flowjerusalem.com/schedule--location.html ❤️OCT 22 Sustainable Yoga Flow Workshop 1 - Hops, Slides, & Oscillations. https://www.facebook.com/events/1885380984813903/?ti=icl ❤️YACE WORKSHOP FOR YOGA TEACHERSwww.facebook.com/events/2215150358704978/?ti=icl #rollingpatterns #flowjerusalem #yoga #yogaeverdamnday#sustainableyoga #functionalyogaflow #יוגה #יוגהירושלים #יוגהישראל#locomotion #running #crosstrainingrunners
