A proud UCLA graduate (1981), she has found her passion mapping story through the complexity of identity. Her own story has become richer through this work, which began over twenty years ago as content curriculum advisor for Sesame Workshop on their Israeli/Palestinian/Jordanian co-production. Drawn to the conflict’s narrative, she has facilitated Palestinian and Israeli educators challenged in the classroom; hosted a women’s interfaith dialogue group; travelled to Cyprus, Bosnia, and Belfast with religious leaders curious about reconciliation; and empowered Palestinian and Israeli women on nutrition to not eat their stress. Jill participated in an Arab-led initiative to Auschwitz, Memory to Peace, which led to a decade of work with Holocaust survivors documenting life story. Kids4peace provided ten years of work mapping youth living in Jerusalem’s conflict, culminating at The Global Institute, in Washington, on legislative and civic engagement. While partnered with Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Jill traveled to Berlin, humbled by their collective refugee mapping. The last five years, as a yoga instructor, Jill facilitates a Narrative Yoga practice for fertility challenged women. The meaning of hopefulness has deepened as a member of the Life's Door Hope Hub.

Embodied Yoga Principles Teacher Training with Mark Walsh
Embodied Yoga Principles Teacher Training TEL AVIV , ISRAEL
About the EYP Teacher Training
The Embodied Yoga Principles (EYP) teacher training is a well-structured, intense and pragmatic course in Embodied Yoga for people wishing to grow personally and use EYP professionally. You may be interested in EYP teacher training for one or more of several reasons.
Apply if you would like:
a deep dive into self-awareness and personal growth
to develop new aspects of your yoga practice & teaching, that's deep yet practical
to use elements of EYP to psychologically enrich your own yoga classes and help students get their learning "off the mat"
to teach dedicated EYP classes
to join a supportive dynamic international community
to learn postures that can be used as part of coaching & training outside of yoga
to have fun learning something new and unique
It consists of five days, some pre-coursework (mostly watching videos)and personal and teaching practice afterwards.
The training is as much about developing as a person as it is about picking up new techniques and the principles themselves, so you can practice EYP in your own creative way.
Because Embodied Yoga is a set of principles rather than a style, it can add a new dimension to any approach to yoga practice from yin yoga to vinyasa flow, and be used creatively. The training is not to be taken lightly as involves some work and much personal challenge. It will be deep, fun, personally and professionally enriching, but not all easy. We have an application process including informal interview with a lead trainer. It is for people who have already completed at least 200 hr yoga teacher training. As the course can be emotionally and psychologically challenging, it is not suitable if you have had a recent major life change or are having acute mental health issues. www.embodiedyogaprinciples.com
